Beef Chili
Nothing beats a hot and comforting bowl of chili. This tasty dish uses very lean organic ground beef to keep it as fat free as possible. When cooking up this recipe, why not “double up the spices” to heat up your next party. The only real problem with this HCG friendly dish is that you may not want to stop at just one serving … you will though because “you are doing it”. Please remember to choose a “low sodium beef broth” for this one.
  • 3.5 ounces organic lean ground beef
  • 4 cloves organic garlic, chopped and minced
  • 1 medium organic onion, sliced
  • 2 stalks organic celery, thinly sliced
  • 16 ounces organic sodium free chopped tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 cups organic beef broth
Preparation Steps
  • brown the beef without oil
  • pour into a sieve and rinse with hot water and set aside
  • saute the garlic and onions without oil over a medium heat until soft
  • add the beef, tomatoes and beef broth to the onion pan and stir
  • add the celery and seasoning and stir
  • bring to a slow boil, reduce the heat and simmer uncovered for 30 minutes to reduce
