Marinara Sauce
This tasty HCG friendly tomato sauce is used as an ingredient in many of the recipes created by Dr. Dave™. It may be a good time to cook up a batch and refrigerate it so you too can be ready to add it to your next dish. It is super simple to make especially if you have a food processor in your kitchen.
  • 14 ounces organic tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 2 tablespoons organic onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves organic garlic, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • pinch of marjoram
  • pinch of sea salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
  • pinch of cayenne pepper ( to taste )
Preparation Steps
  • purée the tomatoes, onion, garlic and fresh basil in a food processor
  • pour mixture into saucepan
  • add the dry herbs, cayenne pepper, sea salt and ground pepper
  • simmer the mixture on medium for about 20 minutes
  • remove from the heat and chill
